Welcome to our newest boy Mettle 🐾

The word mettle means ability to cope in difficult situations, overcoming resistance and courage.  Our Mettle is a young age 2 male Akita who definitely fits this profile meaning.  Mettle was apparently abandoned and found the home of a future foster family where he was taken in and fed and eventually with the help of MARS, vetted and welcomed into their home.  He is great with the other  resident dogs and a  young child and even the family cat.  Mettle has warmed up to the family completely and adjusted to losing his former home.  He is being fostered in the Kansas City, Mo area.

We are seeing so many dogs abandoned lately due to the shelters and rescue groups being full so finding this family able to take him in and work with MARS to vet and eventually find Mettle his forever home where the word abandon will not exist is precious.  If you are interested in completing the happy ending to Mettle’s story, please contact MARS at 773 594 9302 or marsakita@sbcglobal.net
