Sometimes, despite everyone’s best intentions, it becomes necessary for an Akita owner to relinquish their best friend to rescue. Family illness, financial hardship, military reassignments and other unavoidable events cause a family to need our help and support. We understand that our help is the best or only option for the dog, and we support dogs who need us when we have available space and funding to help.
