Midwest Akita Rescue Society (MARS) serves the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota as well as parts of Kentucky and Kansas. If you are located elsewhere, the Akita Club of America (ACA) maintains a list that will help you locate your closest Akita rescue group.

If you are contacting us about a specific dog in need, please provide as much information as possible below. Understand that we receive an overwhelming number of requests and do our best to help those that we can, but are not able to help every Akita sent to us.
