MAIKO MARCH

Maiko March is a purebred American Akita with AKC papers. He is a sweet, loving and nurturing 8 year old male whose loyalty runs deep in his blood. He loves tug of war, playing in the snow, playing with toys, belly rubs, taking bath/showers, watching tv, doing his many known tricks for treats and sunbathing.

He is great with his doggy door, as he loves the freedom to be outside and watch the world. Maiko loves following his human around to make sure they are always safe. He enjoys being brushed, which is huge for an Akita. He has a sweet howl and always greets you at the door with a toy.

Maiko is great with all adults and is great with older kids above the age of 12, but is not meant for a home with any younger kids and would need to be isolated away if younger kids were visiting. Maiko is not good with other dogs, and would need to be the only pet in the home.

Maiko is up to date on all of his shots and does well receiving them with his human present. Maiko has some dietary needs as he has allergic reactions to most dog foods and is on a strict diet because of it, and luckily the dog food he eats is very affordable! He loves his meals with salt free green beans. (his favorite treat!!)

Maiko does have beginning symptoms of hip dysplasia but it never holds him back and I give him a cosequin supplement with every meal to keep his joints healthy. They are a very affordable and easily accessible supplement and taste like a treat!

Maiko is an amazing companion and could truly give some great years of love and laughter to the right person. I am heartbroken to have to rehome him, and only am doing so because of my young step kids moving in. Please come meet my sweet boy so we can see if you are a good match for him, nothing would make me happier than knowing he will be loved and give his love to someone truly deserving.
